Yes. In Local Mode, all DuckDB-WASM and WebGPU processing runs inside your browser tab on your hardware. We pay zero server compute costs for local runs, so you get unlimited client-side processing for free forever.

Local Mode runs 100% inside your browser with physical zero raw data egress and anacron-style catch-up execution when you open your laptop. Cloud Compute is for teams needing true 24/7 unattended automation where pipelines run at 2:00 AM while laptops are closed, with outputs ready for 9:00 AM standups.

We do not charge a monthly subscription seat tax. Cloud Compute is metered strictly on compute credits based on data volume processed and execution seconds on ephemeral cloud workers (Snowflake/BigQuery model). You only pay when jobs run.

Cloud jobs execute purely in RAM on isolated single-use worker containers. Raw data is permanently discarded and memory is cleared the millisecond processing completes. Every job generates a cryptographic SHA-256 deletion timestamp for compliance and SOC2 audits.

You provide your own API key for OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or Groq. Keys are stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM in IndexedDB and never touch our servers. We never charge token markups.
